The German International School Johannesburg offers internships for students studying to become teachers at primary school, high school, secondary level I and secondary level II. No places will be allocated to students from other degree programs. Interns must prove that they have successfully completed the first four semesters of their studies.
The internship positions are usually allocated at least 6 months in advance.
The duration of an internship is limited to a block internship of one quarter. This usually lasts around 9 weeks (45 school days). Unfortunately, we cannot offer practical semesters, as required by some universities.
The entire internship must be financed and organized by the intern himself. The school does not pay any compensation for the lessons taught by the intern.
